ROGER E. NEFF

Roger Edgar Neff, 59, of the 4500 block of Starcher Court, died March 27, 1996.

He was a retired chemist from CYTEC Industries after 37 years of service. Mr. Neff was a native of Corbett, N.Y., and a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, Suffolk. He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth M. Neff; two daughters, Jill E. DeMauro of Birmingham, Ala., and Marcia A. Neff of Mannheim, Germany; two sisters, Elizabeth Vernold of Downsille, N.Y., and Margaret DelFavero of Livinston Manor, N.Y.; three brothers, Homer C. Bull of Tucson, Ariz., John C. Neff of Downsville, N.Y., and Harold R. Neff of Suffolk; grandchildren, Matthew Roger DeMauro and Amanda Lynn DeMauro, both of Birmingham, Ala. He was predeceased by his daughter, Susan Elizabeth Neff; and parents, Hazel Conklin Neff and Roger E. Neff Sr.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Clyde D. Nuckols Sr. in Magnolia United Methodist Church, Suffolk. A funeral will also be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Knorr Funeral Home, Downsville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roger E. Neff Library Fund, Magnolia United Methodist Church, 1764 Wilroy Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge of the arrangements.
