``The new position represents an ideal opportunity for me to utilize my experience in health care,'' Thomas said. ``I'm looking forward to promoting and enhancing the programs now being offered by the health department.
``I've always been impressed with the county's ability to deliver essential health care services in a professional and efficient manner,'' she said.
