Jane H. Richards, 67, died March 28, 1996, at Slidell Memorial Hospital of congestive heart failure.
She was a native of South Norfolk, Va., and a former resident of Chesapeake. She had a been a resident of Slidell since 1985 and was a graduate of the College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, where she received her Master's Degree in School Administration. She was a dedicated high school and elementary teacher in the Chesapeake School System.
She was the beloved mother of Katherine R. Rummel, Joanne E. Richards; mother-in-law of Robert W. Rummel, all of Slidell. She was the daughter of the late Jesse K. and Josephine Rodgers Holland; and sister of the late J.K. Holland Jr. and Edwin L. Holland. She is also survived by two grandsons, Bradley W. Rummel and Scott M. Rummel, both of Slidell.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral. Services are from Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell, on Monday, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Don Cottrill and the Rev. Walter Parker officiating. Interment is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation Sunday from 7 to 10 p.m. and on Monday after 9 a.m. until the funeral time.
