Iris T. Hofler, of the 4000 block of Lakeview Drive, died March 28, 1996.
She was retired from Leventhal Bros. Co. Inc. of New York City. She was a member of Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth; Chesapeake Choral Group; Chesapeake Civic League; Shirts and Skirts Club; and the Neighborhood Watch Association.
She is survived by her husband, Fred D. Hofler; six stepchildren; three sisters; a brother; and five grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday in Mt. Lebanon A.M.E. Church, Elizabeth City, and the interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Elizabeth City. A wake service will be Monday from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Emanuel A.M.E. Church, Portsmouth. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
