Amanda Miller Weatherington, 86, a resident of Winston Park Rest Home, died Friday, March 29, 1996 in Bertie Memorial Hospital. She was a native of Pamlico County, a member of the Lawrence Baptist Church and a retired caregiver for the elderly.
Mrs. Weatherington was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Martin Weatherington; a daughter, Joyce W. Smithwick; two sons, Wade M. Weatherington and Sonny M. Weatherington. She is survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Edgewood Cemetery by the Rev. J.N. Baggett. Memorial gifts may be made to the Bertie County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to Winston Park Rest Home. Walker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
