Hazel-June Mahr Reed, known as June, 85, died March 29, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
She was born in Newark N.J. and was the widow of Rexton M. Reed. She taught in Newark and was a retired high school chemistry and biology teacher. She was a member of Haygood United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Ross M. Reed of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Rexton A. Reed of Richmond; a brother, Irwin Mahr of Westfield, N.J.; three grandchildren, Mark C. Reed of Oregon, Karen Reed of Seattle, Wash., and Mariah S. Reed of Powhatan, Va.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Alan Reifsnyder in Rosewood Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge.
