Linwood C. Taylor Sr., 75, of the 3000 block of Elbyrne Drive, died March 29, 1996, in Suffolk.
Born in Eure, N.C., he was a retired tile mechanic and was the widower of Nora Bee Moody Taylor. He was affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America and was a baseball coach for the Indian River Leagues. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Linwood C. Taylor Jr. of Chesapeake, Steven R. Taylor and his wife, Brenda L., of Suffolk; two sisters, Margaret Ellen Wilkins of Chesapeake and Dorothy ``Dot'' Anne Pugh of Franklin, Va.; a brother, Grover Cleveland Holland Jr. of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and granddaughter, Morgan Lee Butler Taylor of Suffolk.
A funeral will be noon Monday by the Rev. Betty F. Forbes in Rock Church of Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, today from 5 to 7 p.m.
