Regarding the April 9 article about gunfire being the second leading killer of children 10-19 years of age: This is one horrifying statistic.
Most of us realize that there are more guns on the street than ever before. To decrease this statistic, we need to get guns off the street. We should not be trying to repeal the ban on semiautomatic weapons; we should be trying to find a way to keep these weapons off the street. It seems stupid to repeal a ban on weapons when we have a statistic like this.
For all who own a gun: Look at this statistic really hard, because your child might be the next victim.
