Roy Stewart Dunfield, 73, of the 1600 block of Lauren, died April 15, 1996.
He was a retired optician and was born in Burnside, Manitoba, Canada. He moved to Florida from Virginia in 1988. He was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg, Fla., and was active in the George W. Wright Lodge 346 F&AM, Norfolk York Rite Bodies, Khedive Shrine, all of Norfolk, during his 30 years of residence in Norfolk. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie; son, Gregory M. Dunfield of Hopewell Junction, N.Y.; daughter, Gwendolyn M. Grasso of Birmingham, Ala.; brothers, Mel C. Trenton of Ontario, Canada, Herbert J. London of Ontario, Claire W. Lapointe of Quebec; sister, Muriel F. Qua of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and four grandchildren.
Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake, is in charge of arrangements.
