Lester C. Pipkin, 86, died Tuesday, April 16, 1996.
Mr. Pipkin served during World War II with the U.S. merchant marine.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Pipkin of Chesapeake; a daughter, Sandra Vasko of Chesapeake; a son, Donald R. Pipkin of Virginia Beach; a brother, Robert L. Pipkin of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Pipkin of Virginia Beach, and Dustin and Nicole Vasko of Chesapeake.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rosewood Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Rev. Clark Beiler of Trinity Tabernacle of Virginia Beach. Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
