Thomas Francis Walsh Jr., 84, of the 1000 block of Sacony St., died April 16, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mr. Walsh, a native of Portsmouth, married the former Nancy Lee Codd. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus 418. He retired from the Portsmouth Sheriff's Department in 1979.
Survivors include two daughters, Penny Mignacca of Norfolk and Pam Walsh-Bernstein of Hidden Hills, Calif.; three grandchildren, Meghan Nancy Mignacca, Max Thomas Bernstein, and Emily Louise Bernstein.
A graveside funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph Slowik. Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oasis of Portsmouth & Chesapeake, 1020 High St., Portsmouth, 23704.
