Terry Sciortino, 95, of the 3300 block of MacKenzie Bay Lane, died April 15, 1996, in Virginia Beach.
Mr. Sciortino was a native of Ventemilla, Sicily. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Richards Sciortino. He was a member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Sciortino was a member of the St. Gregory's Ushers Club, the Men's Club at St. Gregory's, the Senior Citizens Club at St. Pius and at St. Gregory's and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include two daughters, Ann Marie Chrusciel of Virginia Beach and Marie Slevin of Florida; three sons, Joseph W. Sciortino, Paul A. Sciortino and James J. Sciortino, all of Virginia Beach; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Gregory's Catholic Church by Father John J. Peck, O.S.B. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Norfolk. There will be a visitation at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 8 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
