George Schaefer, chairman of the Norfolk Republican Party, has done an outstanding job as party chairman.
During his term of office, Albert Teich was elected as clerk of the Norfolk Circuit Court and Thelma Drake was elected delegate from the 87th District of Virginia.
George was also actively involved in the campaigns of Charles Griffith, Norfolk's commonwealth attorney, and Robert McCabe, Norfolk sheriff.
George Schaefer leaves office at the end of this month. He will be greatly missed, because he has brought unity to the Norfolk Republican Party.
