Frances Stone Borkland, 84, passed into eternal life on March 30, 1996, at Hillhaven Nursing Home.
A native of North Dakota, Mrs. Borkland was the widow of Alfred ``Pop'' Borkland and is survived by a host of friends in the Catholic community of Scared Heart Church, Norfolk, where a glorious Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated today at 7 p.m., with the Rev. John Dorgan presiding.
Until January, Mrs. Borkland had lived for 12 years at the Madonna Home, an ecumenical residence for the aged, where she will be greatly missed by the residents and staff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be sent to the Madonna Home, 814 W. 37th St., Norfolk, 23508.
