Lloyd ``Buck'' Harris, 64, of the 4000 block of Driver Lane, died April 2, 1996, at Portsmouth General Hospital.
Mr. Harris was retired from PASCO Construction Company and Lindsay Farms. He was a native of Chesterfield County, Va. He was a member of Grassfield Ruritan Club and earned the ``Ruritan of the Year'' for 1991. Buck was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Taylor Harris; three daughters, Ruth Harris Shumate and son-in-law, Norman Shumate of Chesapeake, June Harris Gillikin of Driver and finacee, John Murray, of Portsmouth, Karen Harris of Driver; two sons, David Harris and daughter-in-law, Regina Beiler Harris, Keith Harris and daughter-in-law, Delores Roberts Harris, of Chesapeake; five sisters and three brothers, Ethel Taylor, Sarah Sylvester, Joe H. Harris of Hopewell, Va., Lee Harris of Dinwiddie County, Va., Lizzie Spencer, Franklin Harris of Appomattox, Va., Ollie Rose of Bristoe, Okla.; an uncle, Irving Wray of Charlotte, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by a son, Stanley S. Harris.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Beech Grove United Methodist Church, 4245 Driver Lane, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at 4233 Driver Lane. Memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or charity of choice.
