MARIAN L. EPPS

Marian Louise Epps, of the 900 block of Avenue ``F'', departed this life March 31, 1996, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Epps, a native of Norfolk, retired from Richmond Beneficial Insurance as a foster care mother. She worked in many areas at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, Norfolk, before leaving the Norfolk area. She was a kind and loving person who always graced everyone with a warm gentle smile. She was devoted to her family and neighbors and always ready to help. She attended Norfolk Public Schools. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Epps.

Survivors include a loving devoted sister, Mrs. Beulah Epps Small of Norfolk; a devoted nephew, Dwight Johnson of Fayetteville, N.C.; four nephews, Benjamin Epps of New York, James Epps, Herbert Ferguson, both of Norfolk, Italy Small of England; two nieces, Corine E. Smith of Baltimore, Md., Rebecca Ebron of Middletown, Ohio; and many great-nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at New Calvary Baptist Church, 800 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk, by Dr. G.G. Campbell. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Friday. Family and friends will assemble at 964 Avenue F, on Friday at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Home is in charge.
