Clentoria E. Johnson of the 700 block of Gainsborough Court died April 2, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of North Carolina and a member of New Foreman Temple AME Zion Church.
She is survived by eight daughters, Gladys I. Snead, Lillie M. Johnson, Mildred D. Brown, Clentoria C. Bridgers, Thelma M. Marquez, Doris E. Bass, Audrey E. White and Teresa C. Banks; two sisters, Mahalia Murray and Lucille F. Pretlow; 25 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by the Rev. Joshua Holloway, Pastor, and also Pastor Vincent E. White, who will be officiating, in New Foreman Temple AME Zion Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 817 Gene Crescent, Chesapeake. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
