James Floyd Newsome, 62, of the 200 block of Circle Drive, died April 2, 1996, in Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
Mr. Newsome, a native of Hertford County, was a retired clothes model for Sears Roebuck and Company. He was a Baptist and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his sister, Anita McCaskey of Franklin; two brothers, Eddie Cecil Newsome of Aulander, N.C., and Luther Everett Newsome of Newsoms, Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Gilbert Crawford in Aulander Cemetery, Aulander. The family will assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is in charge.
