FLEETWOOD V. BAXTER

Fleetwood Vandicar Baxter, of the 1400 block of Mill Dam Road, died March 1, 1996, in Veteran Affairs Medical Center.

He was a native of Princess Anne County, Va., and was a member of First Baptist Church, Lynnhaven. He was a lawn maintenance engineer.

He is survived by one daughter, Virginia Beach; six sons of Virginia Beach; mother, Willie Mae Baxter of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Sarah Wilson of Virginia Beach, Sylvia Brooks of Virginia Beach; seven brothers, William Baxter Jr., Ervin Baxter, Phillip Baxter, Shepard Baxter, Maurice Baxter, Michael Baxter and Donyea Baxter, all of Virginia Beach; a grandson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Lavin Williams in First Baptist Church, Lynnahaven, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Goffigan's Estate Cemetery, Virginia Beach. The remains will be ready for viewing Friday at 3 p.m. The family will assemble at the residence at 9 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge.
