Police Wednesday were trying to identify a man who died after he was found unconscious earlier in the day following a jog in a Virginia Beach park.
Mike Carey, spokesman for the Virginia Beach police, said the man was described as a black male in his early 60s, 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 240 pounds. He had short, balding, gray hair and a gray goatee, and was wearing a jogging suit and an orange traffic vest.
He also had a key ring with the inscription: BTW, class of '54. Carey said investigators believe the initials could stand for the Norfolk high school Booker T. Washington.
Carey said the man was found by city employees about 9:30 a.m. in Woodstock Park on Providence Road.
``It appears that he had been jogging through the park,'' Carey said.
The man was taken to Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The man died of natural causes, Carey said.
