Virginia Frances Savage, 82, of the 6000 block of Blackwater Road, died Thursday, April 4, 1996, at her residence.
Mrs. Savage was born in Richmond, Va., and was the daughter of the late Odie L. and Jennie C. Franck Selecman. She retired from the Payroll Department of the City of Virginia Beach after 20 years of service. Mrs. Savage was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church, a former church treasurer, and a member of Jennie McLain Circle.
Survivors include her husband, Jack A. Savage; her son, J. Austin Savage Jr. of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Ruth S. Bristow of Goochland, Va., and Martha S. Wood of Winnsboro, S.C.; and two grandchildren, Shari Savage Roney and John Austin Savage III.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Blackwater Baptist Church by the Rev. Ralph Horn. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
