Sophia Vigorito died Wednesday, April 3, 1996.
Survivors include her daughter, Sister Anna Marie, O.P.; sons, John and Thomas; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Rosewood Chapel, Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach. There will be a memorial prayer service at that time. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, Virginia Beach. The rite of Christian burial will be on Tuesday at St. Charles Cemetery, N.Y. Memorial gifts may be made to Sisters of St. Dominic, 55 Albany Ave., Amityville, N.Y. 11701.
