Mattie Howard Stotesbery, 87, of the 100 block of Ridgewood Road, died April 4, 1996.
Mrs. Stotesbery, the widow of William E. Stotesbery, was a native of Leachville, N.C. She was a member of Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, Chesapeake.
Survivors include a son, William R. Odom Sr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Rachael Foster of Pinetown, N.C.; a brother, William T. Howard of Bath, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Avenue Church of Christ, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Rubert Wallace. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. and at the residence all other times.
