NAOMI D. WALKER

Naomi Dowdy Walker, 74, of the 1100 block of Shenvalee Drive, died April 5, 1996, at her residence.

She was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Arthur A. and Minnie Mann Dowdy. Mrs. Walker attended Glad Tidings Church and she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Snyder of Belle Haven, Va., and Carol ``Dee Dee'' MacDonald of Virginia Beach; four sons, James Thacker of Florence, Ala., David Thacker and Barry Thacker, both of Chesapeake, Brian Walker of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mildred Rosemond of Charleston, S.C., Marjorie Hesse of Lafayette, La.; and two brothers, Wilmont Dowdy of Ocala, Fla., Joseph Dowdy of Virginia Beach; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at Twiford Funeral Home Chapel, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, on Monday at 11 a.m. by Pastor Jerry Qualls. Burial will follow in Colonial Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
