Thomas Glenn McHorney, 66, died Thursday, April 4, at Guardian Care Nursing Home.
He was a native of Norfolk, and had lived in Barco for the last six or seven years. He retired from Vepco in Norfolk after 35 years as a meter reader and was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. McHorney was the son of the late Clarence and Queenie Swain McHorney and the widower of Sue (Tucky) Marwitz McHorney.
Survivors include a sister, Janet Corbell of Maple; and a brother, Milburn McHorney of Shawboro, N.C.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday at noon in the Snowden Cemetery in Maple. Twiford's Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
