CLEO G. REED

Cleo Grant Reed, 91, of the 800 block of First Colonial Road, died April 4, 1996.

She was born in Lockhart, S.C., and was raised in York, S.C. She lived and worked in Arlington from 1942 until her retirement in 1969. She retired from the National Guard Bureau where she worked as a secretary, completing 27 years of service. She is a member of the Arlington Temple United Methodist Church and a former member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George F. and Luella E. Grant and her husband, Wilson Reed Jr. She is survived by two sons, John G. Reed of Chesapeake, James W. Reed of Annandale; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Yorkville, S.C. Altmeyer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
