Barbara Ann Hall Collins, the wife of Albert L. Collins, went to be with her maker April 4, 1996, in Maryview Medical Center.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a former member of the Portsmouth Bowling Association.
She is also survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Boyd Cahoon of Suffolk, Donna and Tim Williams of Newport, N.C.; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Sharon Swarmer of Chesapeake; a sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Harmon Leonard of Wexford, Penn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Zenath ``Zennie'' and Pam Hall Jr. of Pascagoula, Miss.; six grandchildren, Heather Conway, Stacey and Cindy Swarmer, all of Chesapeake, Tonya and Jennifer Williams, both of Newport, and Michael Boyd Cahoon of Suffolk; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Jerry and Shorty Hall; a sister, Frances LaRue Lohse; a daughter, Terri Conway; and a granddaughter.
A funeral service will be conducted at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel on Monday at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Neal Sasser officiating. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society. The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and at 8209 Woodland Circle, Suffolk Following the service on Monday.
