A man calmly told a police dispatcher he had shot his wife late Saturday and then waited on the phone until officers arrived.
He was taken into custody without incident, police said. Police said the woman was dead when they arrived.
The couple's names were not available. Police did not immediately release a motive.
Police went to the couple's apartment in the 1400 block of E. Ocean View Ave. after the man called just before 10 p.m. Charges are pending against him.
