Henry Grady Britton Sr., 95, of Route 1, died April 6, 1996, at his home.
Mr. Britton was a retired farmer and the son of the late Andrew Jackson Britton and Viola Bridgers Britton and a member of Galatia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Grizzie Blythe Britton; three sons, Henry G. Britton Jr. and William J. ``Billy'' Britton, both of Pendleton, N.C. and Ellis Britton of Seaboard, N.C.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Galatia Baptist Church by the Rev. David Foster and the Rev. Lonnie Armstrong. Burial will follow in the Britton Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jackson Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Galatia Baptist Church Carpet Fund.
