Robert Lee Brooks, 75, of the 800 block of Harway Ave., died April 6, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Brooks was born in Granville County, N.C., and was a retired food distributor. He was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church in Granville County.
Survivors include his wife, Withie Marie O. Brooks; a daughter, Nancy Marie B. White and husband Robert F. White Jr. of Bristol, Tenn.; a son, David Lee Brooks and wife Amy Farabow Brooks of Outer Banks, N.C.; a brother, J.D. Brooks and wife Catherine Brooks of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Robert F. White III and wife Michelle White of Bristol, Tenn., and David Lee Brooks Jr. of Chapel Hill, N.C.; three great-grandchildren, Eric White, Emily Marie White and Robert F. White IV; seven nieces and three nephews.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Frank Howlett and the Rev. Robert F. White Jr. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday.
