A report of a gunshot victim early Monday morning led police to a wounded man and a body in separate locations, police spokesman Larry Hill said.
When officers went to the 7400 block of Sewells Point Road about 12:45 a.m., they found a man shot in the arm and stomach. He was identified as Ronnie Campbell, 18, of the 7400 block of Gregory Drive. Campbell was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Investigators then went to the 7400 block of Gregory Drive, where they found a man shot to death in an apartment. He was identified as Shawn F. Fitzgerald, 37, of the 900 block of Avenue I.
Police said the shootings were probably linked. An investigation is underway. No arrests had been made.
