Jeanne Tinkle Stanton, 74, of 909 Oxford Drive, formerly of Arlington, Va., died Sunday April 7, 1996.
A native of Marion, she was the widow of William E. Stanton and the daughter of the late Chancy Nelson Tinkle and Cecelia Delene Draper Tinkle. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and the Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Judy) Holland of Marion and Mrs. Larry (Suzy) Swindell of Hertford, N.C.; a son, Michael William Stanton of Guatemala City, Guatemala; two brothers, Jack Tinkle of Anderson, Ind., and Don Tinkle of Marion; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be conducted at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Marion Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in The Estates of Serenity with Raven Funeral Home in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, N.C. Chapter, 3801 Wake Forest Road, Suite 115, Durham, N.C., 27703 or St. Anne's Catholic Church Building Fund, 207 N.
