Josette M. Simmons, 25, of the 1300 block of County St., died April 9, 1996, in her residence.
She is survived by a son, Darion Simmons; her parents, Luvinia Cheeks and Melvin Cheeks; sister, Renee Cheeks; grandparents, Eliza Simmons, Mahilda Hall, Aldolphus Simmons; great-grandmother, Jessie Cheeks; and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Reginald A. Early in Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Methodist Church. Burial is in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. The family will be at 1806 Prentis Ave. ILLUSTRATION: Personal Photo
