GLADYS PLAWIN

Gladys Plawin went to her eternal home on April 9, 1996, at 86 years of age.

She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. Plawin, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church from 1932 to 1966. She served the Lord faithfully all her life. She was church secretary and active in all areas of the church, especially the Sunday School and Lutheran Woman's League. She was a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School for 25 years and served as enrollment secretary and head teacher of the pre-school.

She was the beloved mother of Sharon Plawin, Susan Plawin, and Judy Plawin Sykes, all of Norfolk; one son, Paul R. Plawin of Falls Church, Va.; the beloved grandmother of Aaron Paul Sykes, Jennifer Doyle, and Paul B. Plawin; and the beloved sister of Edwin Bauman of Baltimore, Md.

A graveside service of worship in witness to the Resurrection will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Daniel Quiram. The family suggests memorials be made to the Trinity Lutheran Scholarship Fund. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, is handling the arrangements.
