STANLEY A. LANE

Stanley Alan Lane, 47, of Route 2, died Tuesday, April 9, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.

A native of Norfolk, Va., he worked for 19 years at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in the Supply Department as an equipment specialist. He attended Chappell's Hill Baptist Church. A Vietnam veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

Surviving are his wife, Judy Cable Lane; his parents, Donald M. and Nora W. Lane Sr. of Chesapeake; two daughters, Stefani Lane Oberlies and Heather Lane, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, Brett and Jason Creekmore of Chesapeake; sister, Jackie D. Harris of Manassas, Va.; brother, Donald M. Lane Jr. of Chesapeake; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Virginia S. Lane of Chesapeake.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Chappell's Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Bobby Armstrong. Burial will be in the Lane Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Swindell Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Perquimans County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
