JOSEPH A. REYNOLDS SR.

Joseph Allen Reynolds Sr., 69, of E. Meadowwood Drive, died April 9, 1996, in Chesapeake.

He was a native of Tarboro, N.C., and was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 26, where he worked as a welder. He was a charter member of Collinswood Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and Korea.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra R. Johnson and Jean R. Underwood, both of Chesapeake; a son, Joseph A. Reynolds Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Lena N. Spyker; three brothers, William Reynolds, Raymond Reynolds and Leslie Reynolds; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Collinswood Baptist Church by the Rev. Jack W. Stallings. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m.
