ROSALIE M. THORNTON

Rosalie Murray Thornton, 82, formerly of West Virginia and Port Royal, Va., died April 9, 1996, in her residence.

She was a self-employed motel owner and manager and a native of Horse Pen, Va. She was a Protestant.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Knight of Virginia Beach; a son, Jeffrey Thornton of Virginia Beach; a sister, Pauline M. Ragland of Beckley, W.Va.; four granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held today at 11 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service. Kellum Funeral Home, Rosewood Chapel, is in charge.
