VICTIM'S IDENTITY SOUGHT

State police are still trying to identify a man who was struck and killed in a hit-and-run incident on I-264 early Tuesday.

He was described as black, between 40 and 60 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 130 pounds. He had no facial hair, a long scar across his abdomen, a scar on his lower left leg and balding, close-cropped hair.

He was wearing a medium, navy blue quilted jacket, a blue and black checkered shirt, a gray cardigan sweater, and gray trousers with a 30-inch waist and 30-inch length. He was wearing a brown knit cap; black and white, size 9 1/2 Eagle tennis shoes; and a burgundy leather belt. He was carrying sunglasses and an empty Greyhound ticket folder.

A cane was near his body and a small Bible was found in his pocket, police said.

A Norfolk woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony hit and run and driving on a suspended license.

Anyone with information about the man's identity is asked to call 424-6800.
