Ruth R. Crawford, 70, died Thursday, April 11, 1996, in a local hospital.
She was a native of New Bern, N.C., and worked as a bookkeeper in Norfolk.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Lee Stewart of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Michael Stewart and Nicholas Stewart, both of Alexandria.
A funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Ernest Trueblood in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. Sunday in Greenleaf Memorial Park, New Bern. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
