GRACE S. HARDISON

Grace Smalley Hardison, 76, of the 100 block of Wright Ave., died April 11, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.

She was born in Lincolnton, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Brantley C. and Leta L. Parsons Smalley. Mrs. Hardison was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Hardison. She was a retired hair stylist and an active member of First Baptist Church of Kitty Hawk.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne H. Milligan of Suffolk; and three sisters, Leta Jane Miller and Gladys Smalley, both of Lincolnton, and Harriet Sutton of Warner Robbins, Ga., and two grandchildren, L. Christin M. Day of Hilliard, Ohio, and Shane K. Milligan of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted in Twiford Colonial Chapel today at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Clinton Hardee. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends at the home of the daughter in Suffolk. Twiford Funeral Home, Great Bridge, Chesapeake, is handling the arrangements.
