THELMA W. DRIVER

Thelma W. Driver, 67, formerly of 900 Darren Drive, died April 11, 1996, in her home.

She was a native of Paget, Bermuda, and was the widow of Eddie L. Driver. She was a member and deaconess of Providence A.M.E. Zion Church, Portsmouth, where she a member of the senior choir and the gospel choir, the Floral Club, Missionary Society, the Life Members Council of the Missionary and Sunday school.

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn D. Turner of Portsmouth and June E. Tucker of Bermuda; her mother, Ora C. Tucker of Bermuda; two sisters, Freda Ratteray and Ismay Jones, both of Bermuda; two grandchildren, Garlon L. Turner Jr. of Philadelphia, and Jermaine N. Turner of Portsmouth; a great-grandchild, Jatalya R. Turner; a son-in-law, Garlon L. Turner Sr.; and a host of other relatives, including Aaron Adams of Bermuda, whom she considered as a son.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday by the Rev. Alphonso Griffin Sr. in Providence A.M.E.Z. Church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon Sunday. The body will be taken to the church at 10:30 a.m. Monday. The family will be at 387 Carver Circle, Portsmouth, and will assemble there for the funeral service.
