Virginia S. East, 101, died April 13, 1996, in Norfolk.
She was a native of Richmond, Va. and the widow of Lloyd S. East. Mrs. East was a Baptist and a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Ocean View.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Helton of San Diego, Calif.; son, William Foutz of Virginia Beach; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Chandler and Mrs. Elsie Helffrich; and also by a son, Robert Butler.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
