JOSEPH H. COLEMAN

Joseph Hoover Coleman, 67, died April 12, 1996, in DePaul Medical Center.

He was a retired lineman and supervisor for Virginia Power. Mr. Coleman, a native of Russell County, Va., was the widower of Gladys Coleman. He was a member of Rock Church in Virginia Beach and was a member and past master of George W. Wright Masonic Lodge (NU)346 Norfolk A.F. & A.M., Lonesome Three Hunt Club, Deerhorn Hunt Club, National Rifle Association, Khedive Temple of Shrine, Scottish Rite Bodies, Westminster Chapter (NU)99 O.E.S., International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union (NU)980.

He is survived by a stepson and his wife, Jim and Christina Wash of Philadelphia; three sisters, Helen Doren of Portsmouth, Geraldine Perdue of Bluefield, W.Va., and Louise Jordan of Springfield, Mo.; brother, Miles Coleman of Wichita, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Lola Newberry of Portsmouth and Imogene Brewer of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Tom Potter in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial is in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
