MARY A. TAYLOR

Mary Alice Taylor, 78, died April 7, 1996, in Royal Oak, Mich.

A native of Suffolk, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Lummis Taylor. Miss Taylor received her B.A. from Hollins College in 1940 and was employed by the Chrysler Corporation for 24 years as a material engineer, retiring in 1974.

Survivors include two nieces, Catherine Taylor-Sprarrow of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Judith Taylor-Wright of Bon Aqua, Tenn.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery by the Rev. H. Vance Mann III. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1413, Suffolk, Va., 23439. R.W. Baker and Company Funeral Home is in charge.
