CAREER TRACK

BANKING

The following officer changes and promotions took place at Jefferson National Bank. James E. Romm II was named vice president and office manager at Jefferson National Bank, North Battlefield Boulevard in Chesapeake. He was formerly assistant vice president and office manager of the South Norfolk office. He has been with the bank since September 1985.

Deborah M. Vick was named administrative officer and office manager at the bank's Airline office. She has 18 years of retail banking experience including First & Merchants National Bank and as the branch manager at Signet Bank, Portsmouth, from 1983 until 1989.

Also, Teresa T. White was named administrative officer and loan officer at the bank's Chesapeake office. She has been with the bank since 1983 and was formerly a customer service representative.

And, David C. Wornom was named administrative officer and investment representative for the trust and investments division at the Chesapeake office. He was formerly employed by Variable Annuity Life Insurance Co. and Shenandoah Life Insurance Co.

COMPUTERS

Steve Stalnaker was promoted to technical training manager at ExecuTrain of Eastern Virginia. He will be responsible for all technical training operations at the company's Virginia Beach, Hampton and soon-to-open Williamsburg training sites. He was previously a senior instructor at ExecuTrain.

And, Geoff A. Gates was promoted to Peninsula general manager at the computer training company. He will be responsible for all operations of the company's Hampton and Williamsburg training sites. He was previously an account manager with the company.

CONSTRUCTION

George S. Broaddus was named vice president/mechanical division at Abante Corp. in Norfolk. Prior to this, he was with Energy Services Group in Williamsburg.

ENGINEERING

Charles R. Bourn Jr. was named a director of The Greenwood Partnership, an engineering and architectural firm with offices in Williamsburg, Lynchburg and Suffolk. Bourn joined Greenwood in 1994 as a principal. He is based in Williamsburg.

HEALTH CARE

Richard A. Rhodes was appointed vice president for information systems/chief information officer and Karen Price Grinnan was named director of marketing for Chesapeake General Hospital. Rhodes most recently worked as a consultant for Booz-Allen & Hamilton, a Falls Church-based company specializing in medical information systems. Grinnan was previously director of marketing operations at Sentara Health System, Norfolk.

Dr. Gregory M. Meyer, an internal medicine specialist, is practicing at Sentara Health Care Center in Chesapeake. He formerly practiced at the Sentara Health Care Center, Fairfield.

Dr. Steven L. Arnold, a family practice physician, has joined the Sentara Health Care Center, Denbigh. Prior to this, he worked with the Primary Care Network of Riverside Physician Services in Gloucester.

And Dr. Thomas Richard Pecsok, an internal medicine specialist, is practicing at the Sentara Health Care Center, Little Creek. He completed his residency in primary care internal medicine at West Virginia University Hospital.

MUSEUMS

Peter G. Decker Jr. was elected president of the National Maritime Center Foundation by members of the board of directors of the foundation. Decker has also been a member of the board of directors for the foundation. He is an attorney with Decker Cardon Thomas Weintraub Coureas & Huffman.

STOCK BROKERAGE

James B. Pierce was named manager of Scott & Stringfellow's Williamsburg office. He formerly served as vice president and investment broker in Williamsburg. He joined the brokerage firm in 1995 after 11 years as a senior investment broker with A.G. Edwards & Sons in Norfolk. MEMO: Career Track reports upper-level executive and management changes. Items
