Gordon Ferguson Carr, died April 13, 1996, in Sentara Nursing Center, Norfolk.
He was a native of Elmira, N.Y., and was a Protestant. Mr. Carr worked as a self-employed accountant until his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Josephine R. Carr of Virginia Beach; one son, James D. Carr, also of Virginia Beach; three daughters, Nancy Green of Boston, Mass., Ann Swartz and husband, Dennis K. Swartz of Norfolk and Linda Shehey of Virginia; and three grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Swartz of Blacksburg, Va., Paul Carr and Julia Carr of Virginia Beach.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be private. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. this evening for the visitation.
