Velma L. Watkins, 91, of the 300 block of Lucille Ave., died Sunday morning, April 14, 1996, in a Norfolk health care center.
She was born in Gloucester County, Va., and was the widow of Lee Watkins. Mrs. Watkins was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Sallie Thomas Ashberry of Norfolk; a half-sister, Christine Robinson of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Carl R. Lee of Norfolk.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Cox Funeral Home by the Rev. James C. Rittenhouse. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. for visitation.
