Paul Fisher Darden Sr., 78, of the 300 block of N. McGlohon St., died April 12, 1996, at Maryview Nursing Center in Suffolk, Va.
He was a native of Ahoskie and was the widower of Elizabeth Wood Darden. A salesman, he retired from W.H. Basnight Co., and was a member of Ahoskie United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a son, William Darden of Ahoskie; a sister, Madge Benson of Portsmouth; a brother, R.B. Darden of Ahoskie; and two grandchildren, James Edward Dilday and David Paul Darden, both of Ahoskie.
A funeral was held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Garrett Funeral Home by Dr. Kenneth Hall. Burial was in Ahoskie Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Ahoskie United Methodist Church or Ahoskie Rescue Squad, Ahoskie, N.C., 27910.
