JULIA C. VAUGHAN

Julia Cartin Vaughan, 92, formerly of Carrsville Highway and the Village at Woods Edge, died April 14, 1996, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

She was the widow of Clarence James Vaughan. A native of North, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Rebecca Phillips Cartin. Mrs. Vaughan had retired after 29 years with St. Regis Paper Co. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clarence Linwood and Evelyne Gillette Vaughan; two grandchildren, Cynthia Vaughan Jarvis of Moyock, N.C., and Glenn Thomas Vaughan of Holland, Mich.; three great-grandchildren, James Martin Jarvis Jr., Jason Thomas Jarvis and Kevin Vaughan Jarvis, all of Moyock; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Park by the Rev. Dr. Richard Peerey and the Rev. James B. Lambeth. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Linwood Vaughan, 424 Crescent Drive, Franklin, and suggest that memorials be made to a favorite charity. Wright Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
