Bayside's Christy Bryant netted six treys to finish second in the girls 3-point contest, then posted 16 points in a dominating point-guard performance to pace the Blue team to a 51-45 victory.
``I haven't played in a while, I was kind of tired,'' said Bryant, selected as the game's Most Valuable Player. ``But by the second half, I was okay. I was kind of surprised.''
Bryant has been offered scholarships by Chaney University and Seminole Community College.
Cox guard Shannon Drury stifled Red comebacks, snagging five steals to earn the Best Defensive Player Award. Churchland guard Nicole Council posted a game-high 17 points for the Red and won the 3-point contest.
Drury has signed with the University of Miami and Council with the University of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
Council guided the Red team, unleashing her trademark no-look pass to keep the game close. Council dueled Bryant or Drury throughout the game.
Princess Anne's Rasheda Rogers introduced the Cavaliers' fast-paced style of play to the game, reversing past opponents and driving the lane, drawing cheers from the crowd. She closed the game with 12 points.
